Upcoming hearings: June 28 joint hearing on “Tax Reform and the Tax Treatment of Capital Gains” was postponed due to the conflicting time with the Supreme Court announcement of its decision the Affordable Care Act. The committees have not yet announced the new hearing date. July 11 House Vote on Repeal of the Affordable Care Act, The House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises hearing “on the impact the Dodd-Frank Act is having on job creators, credit and financial institution customers,” House Agriculture Committee meeting regarding the 2012 Farm Bill, House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit hearing to “examine the Dodd-Frank Act’s effect on mortgage lending.” July 18 the House Financial Services Committee hearing on the semiannual “Monetary Policy Report to the Congress” with Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to testify.
